Well the first round of inspections was today and everything passed! Yay! Tomorrow starts the slab pour. You may have noticed that I’m skipping sundays in the numbering process.
Tonight Heather and I went over to Patriot’s Point for a MINI g2g. It was part of the MINI Takes the States drive and a few hundred owners came out to eat a Lowcountry Boil (shrimp, sausage, corn & potatoes), win door prizes (I won a car cover from MINI AG), go on a parade drive through some of the islands, and in general just to hang out. We ducked out early before the drive to head home to catch Top Gear on BBC America and the season premier of Weeds on Showtime. It was a good time even with the razzing from other MINI drivers about getting beat at the autocross by another MINI driver. In a “Just a Cooper” no less. Yeah, I know, Shameful.
