Ava didn’t want hers until several weeks in. No idea why, but I’m guessing it wasn’t giving her what she wanted! Now LT and I find ourselves hiding them from her during the day, only to find she’s dug one up from behind the bed or something.

And +1 to the “do what works for your own family.” Some things will follow convention. Some won’t. No big deal. Happy and healthy is what matters!
